Pat

If travel companies didn't rip off parents by making prices so much higher at half term, maybe it would be easier for them to take the kids then. As it stands though, given a choice between taking them out of school for a week - just one week, not a month! - or not going at all, think I can see why the parents make the choice they do.

I'd argue that a week in ski school is an education in itself, the kids are interacting with people from different countries, seeing that there's more to the world than just England, meeting other kids and learning how to build relationships and getting some good exercise.

You are entitled to your opinion, as is everybody, but your comments have come across as plain snooty. You are insinuating that parents can't be bothered with their children's education, and I think you should maybe just take a step back and try to see the world from other people's eyes.

Hilly- its nice to get back to why we are here! Very Happy
That is someting i thought of myself actually so not boring- practable!
yeah they supplied about six towels in the room, a couple of hand towels, the rest bath ones and we used these to take to the pool on an evening.(all white!)
they were replaced each day with clean ones.
There is a heated towel rack in the bathroom ideal for dryin the swimwear!
Hope it helps!

I hope you got a grade one from Ofsted Pat! We are in education too and do take the kids during the holidays. Our son certainly learnt more with us a couple years ago when his reading came on over the summer. 1-1 teaching whilst away enjoying is better than 1-30 at school.

Ian Now you're back, don't forget to book a place on the Ski Meet in May at Tamworth. I'm bringing my 11 year old son and others are bringing their kids, so yours should be occupied, if you want to bring them. Very Happy

Had a fantastic week over there and am deffo gonna be going again. We had our instruction for the week from Boro Sport and have to say our guy was brilliant. Our lessons were only supposed to be for 2 hours but he was with us for at least 4 every day. Its one of those "luck of the draw" jobbies I think.

I know you wont be taking any notice of everyones best friend Pat but maybe we should ask her the benefit to the kids in our schools to have several teacher training days during school terms just so it doesnt get in the way of their massively excessive holiday entitlements

Great report bud Smile
