If you have to move you should def demand compensation, for the inconvenience if nothing else! They are also downgrading you from a 5* to 4*. Personally i'd tell them where to go, unless they made it really worth my while!!! (Does show all the Balkan holiday bashers that other tour operators are the same)

You are entitled to compensation.

They are forcing a major change on to your holiday. Hold out for as much compensation as possible. Don't settle for the standard comp as stated in the brochure.

Also, when you are at the Kempinski, ask to speak to Mr Kempf to personally voice your annoyance, and you will be surprised what Kempinski will do to keep you happy!!

First Investment bank, who own Balkan Holidays International also own the Kempinski. So no chance of Balkan being kicked out! Wink

re: Kemplinski - cancellation??

As the insider said the Kempinski is owned in a round about way by Balkan Holidays & all the flight changes happen because not enough people book earlier enough so the flights have to be shared so there still is a wide choice of departures. The only way around this be to offer Manchester & London & excpet evryone to travel to these airports. Not very handy when when you live in Aberdeen or Plymouth. If more Travel agents & people promoted Bulgaria as a great ski destenation then there would ...
