I had booked through Balkan holidays after cancelling with crystal cos they withdrew the flights from Newcastle. I am travelling with my two kids 7 and 5 (nearly 6), leaving mum at home cos she does not like the snow! (whats wrong with her, but hey I get some freedom for a week!)
I had booked my daughter into the full ski school,boots,ski and pass offer, as shes skied Austria twice and France last year and is quite good now. My younger Son had only done a week in France last year,so i thought another spell of Kindergarten would do him no harm. i was advised to book this in resort. Then I realised how little skiing they actually did in Kinder club (2 hours a day), and after doing six hours a day in France this year, I felt this would not progress his ability much.
I therefore E mailed Balkan holidays direct, voicing my concerns about this, and they replied stating they had contacted the ski school and I should go ahead with a ski package booking for him, there would be no problem getting him into ski school. When I went to pay my balance on the holiday they had added another ski package place onto my invoice, and thats about it.
I feel much better knowing I do not have to keep visiting kindergarten then going looking for the other kid up on the slopes. (you dont have to but I like to give them encouragement you know!) also its only one place to drop them off in the mornings, and later in the day we can all ski together still when schools out.
we are staying in the Samokov, and looking forward to it now the snows started to fall. who knows may see you there!
