I used my nationwide card at the atms so no charge as within the EU. Rates varied from 2.230 to 2.345

ahh cool. cheers. Is it better to bring cash with us or for us to use our card at the atm to exchange money?

I would just use the ATM - alternatively, there are banks in the Rila and in the Flora hotel.
