Hi Welshy..
What are you going to be doing ?? i was here last season for a couple of months, skied virtually everyday, partied and generally had a great time...
Now living here, its slightly differant, im not saying that you do not go out, but its more restrained, the body would not take it, and you need to be doing something.
If its your intention to come just for the ski season then you can get through, you will become known in most of the bars, you will find out where the deals are, ...

If its your intention to come just for the ski season then you can get through, you will become known in most of the bars, you will find out where the deals are, where you can get cheap food, start to pick up the language, meet some locals, go out with them, might even find a little sideline to make a few bob.
I love it here, the summer has been glorious, i`ve had friends out, made friends here, my girlfriend will be here in a couple of days, and we have the season to look forward to, granted looks like i`ll be working a lot of it.... Gonna have to do something about that

Well going to have a look at the Golf course and see how my Apt is progressing (due to be finished in Dec08 Pirin District 1).
Following that maybe a round of golf there - weather dependant. But then thats pretty much it.
On the Sat i.e. Nov 8th there are lots of Autumn international Rugby games all on the BBC (fingers crossed) so am thinking of heading up to the Lion Pud 24hr to watch them as last time I saw a few games in there and I alone drank them dry of Pirinski bottles so they ...

Anyway was thinking maybe have some ten pin bowling, and then maybe the casino (not the one next to the bowling as its only roulette and one arm bandits - we want cards/black jack/taxas holdem).
But before we do that Im not really sure - we might just drink all day long visiting lots of little Mehanas trying out Rakias.
It would be nice to do something associated with Bulgaria but then again nothing wrong with just really relaxing chilling out putting beer jackets/beer coats on.
What non drinking activities would you suggest?
Is the Friendly bar open ? Is that big bar at the gondela base open at that time totally off season?
If we wanted to get up to the first station - for me to show my 2 mates the piste would we be able to taxi it up and walk down or taxi both ways/is there any point in going up?
I know LuckyBansko have very good Spa facilities so will be using them.
Also any lap dancing clubs open at that time of the year?/where are they?
Right, get the idea...
The Lion is closed at the moment, new ownership and they are putting in a new kitchen so sky is out, may be done for when your out but dont hold your breath. The Friendly will not open till the season, maybe mid Nov at the earliest, you may struggle to get to see the rugby. Happy End, again the season...
The idea of touring mehanas sampling rakia sounds a great idea, i`ve done it, i lost a day somewhere
Taxis will take you anywhere, we may have a decent covering ...

Taxis will take you anywhere, we may have a decent covering of snow by the time you are here if the present weather is anything to go on...
Non-drinking activities errrrr nope, dunno any of those
No lap dancing clubs that i know of nor strip clubs or girly bars (im sure there must be one somewhere)
Your best suggestion was `chilling', very easy here...
Give me a shout via mail, im sure we`ll come up with something
