What are they playing at in Pamps?
If you are anything above a beginer have we waisted our money?
We wait all year to get our weeks skiing, and all we keep getting on this board is how badly the slopes in Pamps have been prepared.
Saplings have not been removed, cut tree's laying across the slopes, tree stumps not cut right down, piste bashers not being used and snow cannons not on full time to top up the bad snow conditions. (And prices going through the roof)
I know we can do nothing about the lack of snow, but if the pistes had been prepared properly surely some of reds would be open now.
Who is ment to be in charge over there?
Whoever it is, I would like to say, they have done a crap job.
Are they big enough to come on this board and explain why the have not got the pistes ready in time

This is only the tip of the problem. I agree there is no excuse. years ago I saw ski instructors with shovels shovelling snow from under the trees to keep runs open. The Bulgarians were proud and did all they could for tourists. many still do. The perception is now however that those running the resort, shops, taxis, restaurants etc don't care... they are only interested in making a quick buck. No wonder the resort is half empty.

Another cause is inflated prices.

Pamporovo had three Unique Selling Points. Good instruction, goog atmosphere and it was 'cheap'. People going there went on a budget. Lets say £200 -£300 on top of half board. People going there now still go on a budget. By hiking the prices to twice what they were only two years ago they have emptied the resort. Less people go in the first place. Far less people eat on the mountain and far far less go out at night destroying the atmosphere. So there's two of the three reasons for going to Pamporovo destroyed already and we haven't even mentioned the snow.

i went last year 2nd feb, the snow was great, my first time sking, i loved it so much i wanted to show my 3 kids what it was like, im a single mum it has took me a year to save for this holiday, we are going in 3 weeks time saving as hard as i can .
it makes me sick that there is nowt done about the runs and snow cannons ,i dont understand its people like us that pay there wages ,i think alot of people will be very disaponted going this year,and book up els where next time.
i know its the lack of snow ! but the snow cannons could be left on the runs that are not up and running? hello do anyone work on the pistes

I am by no means a decision maker in Pamps, however I am meeting with Mr Illiev from Pamporovo OOD tomorrow afternoon I will air all your points of view, please don’t shoot the messenger. I think everyone should pop into my office and write down your gripes, good experiences and bad and that way I can compile a list of the main problems and present it, but I can do nothing if you don’t come into the tourist and information centre and fill in complaints, you could write a letter sign it and pop it in anytime.
