Hi Amanda. Great stuff: you've seen my comments on the previous thread. There is such an oportunity for Pamps but if the wrong decisions are continued there is a real threat.

Hi Forest and other readers i have seen all the comments and i will be printing all comments tomorrow in readiness, i have seen signs for several years in Pamps saying information centre but there was not one before i took the Initiative, i opened up my office as a tourist and information centre with no financial help from the municipality or anyone else so in short i believe they owe me their time and they better listen and not just pay lip service to me. I will do my bit for sure but we need more people to note their gripes, if thousands of folk holiday throughout the ski season and i produce only 50 complaints what do the figures show? the figures show that pamps if perfect for the majority of tourists with just a few percent moaners and i refuse to stand out in the freezing cold grabbing folk of the streets to comment, i can lead a horse to water but i can't make it drink, do you see what i mean, i am trying my best Wink

Oh My God!!!!!!
I am really worried about forth coming holiday, booked for st week in March. We have been going to Pamporovo since 1999 and return each year and at 1 point ther wa a party of 64 people. Yes each year prices go up as every where else does but last year we saw a big difference. Lots of old ski instructors of which we are friends with have left and now run their own ski schools. We have never not skiied, even when a couple of years ago there was large stretches of grass areas, ...

We have never not skiied, even when a couple of years ago there was large stretches of grass areas, they kept moving the snow onto the runs. Was looking forward to this year as bringing 2 other families with us, after reading the posts I am now very worried they wont enjoy their 1st hol in the snow. looks like this might be our last year if rumours are true. Also lots of flights canx by tour operators, ours included so demand must be reducing. Get your house in order Pamporovo!

I am a little worried abouut the state of the slopes too, we chose to return to Pamporovo in a couple of weeks time because we still have beginner/intermediate skiers in our group, and I can live with a week on the red/black runs. We were looking forward to the new runs that have been talked up all year being open, but alas it looks like that won't happen.

However, with only one red open, and others not being groomed (surely there is enough snow to 'bash them') it looks like a very crowded trip down the mountain. There just seems to be a distinct lack of movement from those who are supposed to maintain the slopes.

Last year we were skiing around rocks and clumps of grass (1st week march), so it sounds like this year will be no different.

re: Makes me feel sick.

Why invest in a new lift and two new runs if they can not get what they had before sorted properly Question

And would it not of made more sence to invest in more snow cannons first Question

This is going to be my 5th time in as many years in Pamps, but looks like it will probably be the last. Crying Crying Crying

Nothing wrong with the area, people, food or hotels, its the managment of the resort that has let us down. THANKS Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation

re: Makes me feel sick.

The new lift was partly up and built in March last year so what have they been doing for the past 10 months?
