Because I have a husband who seems to think I know everything - it's been left to me to find out as much about Bansko as possible (and woe betide me if I get it wrong) soooo I need your help:
Is there a website that recommends mehanas - and tells you which to avoid (it will be ny fault if we get ripped off - or a crappy meal)
Also - are there any bars that I my kids will find fun - they're Greek kids and are used to eating out with us and drinking with us (we do the drinking NOT them - ...

Would really like to have an idea where I should go as I am only there for 4 nights. I want to enjoy it as Bansko is so close for us - only about a 7hr car journey and I would like to be able to go again ..... in the nr future.
Any recommendations (or warnings) would be greatly appreciated. thanks Jayne

Thanks guys - coming from Preveza Greece, however I am British (from Derbyshire) been in Greece 21yrs. (only arrived for a 6month rep job LOL)
Will check out the links - and take notes!!!! My dad used to expect my mum to know everything as well - seems I married a carbon copy, who just uses a differeent language!
We went in Feb with two kids and they loved restaurant Victoria, which is a pizza place, it is opposite the Kempinski by the Gondola, it was very reasonably priced and very good food, you will have to book before you go as it gets very busy. If you fancy something more traditional then go to Dedo Pene next to the church, avoid restaurants that have touts outside!!
Thanks Tim - I have be doing my homework on places to avoid! Spent years dealing with Greek rip off merchants - don't feel like arguing in Bulgaria as well! My kids love bars as well (think that's the British half) so are kids allowed in places like in Greece (sorry that's all I have to compare it with!) at a reasonable time (not late). Also which place would you reccomend for live traditional music??? Sorry to be a bother!
