I thought my post about the trolls got a little out of hand. Mickey made a valid point half way down so I have C&P his post.
There is people here which are preventing any kind of negative opinion on Banko.
I think bansko has potential of being one of the best ski sites in East Europe if Ulen , "the manager of ski resort" is a bit better organized:

I think bansko has potential of being one of the best ski sites in East Europe if Ulen , "the manager of ski resort" is a bit better organized:
1- There is no queue management in any stations , people waiting for long time get very frustated even more when people are getting in front without waiting just by paying few levas..to the security personel..
2- there is a serious bottle neck at the upper station of gondola since most of the time , west side lifts are not working due winds and the only choice is the east lift which is over crowded until 13.00 at least.
3- the next bottle neck is at the lifts of "bla bla cafe" since the todorka lift is most of time closed due winds...
4- if you are not beginner and you don't want to use the blue runs , the only options is Chalin Valog which is not for everyone specially the begining which is black.
5- i think the skipass price 55 leva (30 eur) is quite expensive , specially if if you consider that most of the slopes and lifts are closed due various reasons , most of the time.
Points above are my humble opinion after 1 week at bansko.
Aaron, since you have the power to delete all negative opinions on Bansko, you may delete this post as well , deleting post reminds me , burning of books from dark ages...
Fair points mickey. I don't usually agree with you but the assessment of bansko in your last post is in my experience 100% correct. Ulen has work to do if bansko is to reach its true potential.
Hey Mickey, must reply before deleting. I am totally agree with, you. Bansko could be the best, but it is not.
Much better to go to smaller resorts in other places in eastern europe, is is cheaper, better organised and normally all are open during the season. If not, you can read about it at the resorts homepage. Not like in Bansko, who says all open, but it is not. This is bad shiiiit!!!!!
I come from Denmark I can go to sweden in small resorts by car. It will take from 3-8 hours. ...

I come from Denmark I can go to sweden in small resorts by car. It will take from 3-8 hours. And Poland and Czech republik in about 8-9 hours drive. Can someone please tell me why I shall go to Bansko again. What are the chances about open slopes? etc.
Mickey could not have put it better myself. Was discussing this the other night with Steve C and Dave. Lift management is a joke here queued for 15 mins at Chalin for the 4 man and guess what I got on it alone!!
Mind you perhaps that says more about me!
Had I known you had been in Bansko I would have brought you a beer despite you being a pain In arse would have been interesting to meet you.
