The rate in the Rila bank is 2.01
But b carefull, I got conned 2day, changed some money at an exhange on the main drag, advert 2.08. they only gave 1.75. Took me money then gave a print saying 1.75. When i argued mi point she said different buy/sell rate then wouldn't give me my money back

Gas issue-spoke 2 our instructor 2day who said that Hotel Rila and Hotel Samokov have different stanbye power/heating sources.

thanks for all the info. Really helpful. I am flying there on 17th Jan for the first time. Just wanted to ask if there's any car rentals in Borovets. We'd like to have a day trip around there.

About the money conversion, would it be better idea just to take money from ATM there? The bank shouldn't charge you so much as the exchange office there

And last: Could you recommend some good bar for evening for a group of 4 30years men?

Car rental-sorry can't help there, may be worth u posting on here.

Money Conversion. I havent used the ATM this yr, but i do know there r sometimes problems wi them.
I take a little Lev to see me through the first day, then use cash, you get the best rate at the hotel bank in the Rila. BEWARE of the exchanges huts on the main drag, i got conned once there this week. They advertise outside a good rate, but then hav a different board inside with a buy and sell rate! They wouldnt give me my cash back once i had handed it over-ALWAYS ask the cashier first how much u will recieve back for your sterling b4 u hand over your money
