My big saving this year and I have to go 1/2 term so we pay a premium on everything was flying Lufthansa and booking well before the budget airlines announce their prices. Ok we have to fly via Munich or Frankfurt which adds a couple of hours but at £170 rtrn with a full baggage allowance with no extra charges for carrying equipment and flying from my local airport at times pretty much to suit, 1st day of high season, I think it's well worth it and a good money saving tip. At time of booking, BA were asking for £245 one way.

For kids snacks on the piste - buy the bags of mini mars/twix/milkyway etc in the UK and take them with you. Saves a fortune.

Take the buffet breakfast option in the hotels and grab a few rolls, cold meats, cheese etc then surreptitiously drop them into your napkin and escape back to your room to make up some rolls for lunch (not that I would EVER do that myself, you understand!)

Stop at a supermarket before you get to the resort and stock up on beer / wine / snacks for apartments ...

Stop at a supermarket before you get to the resort and stock up on beer / wine / snacks for apartments (particularly if you have young kids and might stay in watching DVD's in the evening) Much cheaper than buying food from the supermarkets in the resort. Our transfer drivers take our guests shopping and help them with translations and food shopping if required.

re: Money Saving Tips

I do not agree with the sentiment of this item Money "saving tips"

I think it is good to give tips, not save them.

If you receive good service show your appreciation. 10% is often used as a guideline, but I find that a little extra is very gratefully received.

The Bulgarians are not amongst the highest paid people so I would urge you to give generously & look to save money elsewhere.

re: Money Saving Tips

depends on what the retail price was. If it was normally 50p then 99p is not money saving. Razz
