re: Musala

i think we rode our bikes over to the hut the summer before last, it was just a dodgy old cafe with the worst outside loo ever, so does the piste basher take you there from borovets village, can you remember how much please?
i guess the other option is to use the lifts, accross to avalanche drag and left at the top maybe with a bit of walking afterwards

Piste Basher Safari

lewis the safari was from the Alpin Bar next to the Mountain rescue centre up top. It takes about 35 - 40 mins to get to the old hut and its a bumpy ride !!! Off the Gondola at the top go left and up to the top of the hill over looking the 3 drags and the Musala peak ski / board down and bear left on to the wide piste the Alpin bar is down the bottom on the left. Carnt remember how much but it wasn't a lot 8 of us went up... about the same price as the horses taxis in the town i think ...

re: Musala

Fiona think that was the american, john, hes sold up and gone now. No safaris currently on by piste basher as its still not fixed, we were talking about it on thurs night. Its more 'shanks pony' at the moment, but still possible
