`dont even think altitude will give you guaranteed snow, i have been in Val`d'isere and the downhill has been cancelled due to poor snow'.

This is what i said Mikey, no referance was made to Bansko or any comparison implied. It relates to the uncertainty of snow and even altitude cannot guarantee this. Thank you for the information on Espace Killy, it reminds me of the eight seasons i spent there

Bansko is great. But the last couple of years I recall reading quite a few complaints on this board from people visiting over the New Year saying the lifts were overwhelmed with invading Russian hordes who didn't share English queueing protocols!

We went a little later in the year, both years, and everything was fine at that time.
