Never again not ever. slopes are good lifts are crap. cheap drink cheap bars cheap whores cheap drugs fake everything. Totaly run by the mafia. They will never attract the tourists in any number to the resorts and thus will never have funds to drag themselves from the depths of poverty which is a shame as there people are very welcoming and charmingre: Never again

ive had a good time in france even with the french there. i guess i just wasn't prepared for the vice and illegal opperation of the entire town in Borovets or maybe ive just taken the blinkers of my face and see what a lot of people miss. Even when they put giant scaffolded screens up in sofia to stop the tourist seeing the state of gypsy ghettos it is not possible to ignore the problem. The place is rankre: Never again

Assuming you are talking about Borovets which apparently has a temporary lift problem while they develop the resort for the future, which bit of the above meant you didn't have a thoroughly good time?
Might be best not to answer regarding the ladies (as my mother taught me to call them all), as too much has been said about them already, I've always found them very unobstrusive.

Assuming you are talking about Borovets which apparently has a temporary lift problem while they develop the resort for the future, which bit of the above meant you didn't have a thoroughly good time?

As for the Bulgarians living in the depths of poverty, well that's relative, they are a quietly proud group of people I think and seem to have pretty much most of they basic needs, altough I'd be happier if they all had 3 Mercedes each - something they are more likely to get from industrry and trading in Europe than catering for Britain's cheapskate tourists surely?

Hey Mike,If you exchange all of those 'cheap's for 'expensive's, I guarantee that most or all of my group of 20 people who have been going to Pamporovo for 13 years and loving every minute of it WOULD CANCEL!! Still not sure which bit ruined your holiday? Lack of snow? MMmmm, who to blame??
And you hit the nail on the head with the Bulgarian hospitality. Much better to spend time with them than arrive to a bunch of toffee-nosed, arrogant, snooty, ********s (fill in the blanks!!)

Nah - I don't think he went to the same Bulgaria and Borovets as the rest of us - wasn't the place we all know and love. Cheap drinks, cheap bars, good runs - ok, so what am I missing?Whores - didn't see any last year, fake goods, again, didn't see it,
So the one man chair lift is not working this year, it's been posted about enough on this board so you couldn't say forewarned is not forearmed.
