New Lifts/Pistes for Borovets 2009/2010

My wife is BG, she 's from city Samokov. We go there every year ( summer and winter ) to visit Borovets.
The "lake" near Yastrebets hotel to supply water for the snow canons is not finished yet. I was there last friday. But they are finishing it right now, It's nearly completed.
Nothing new about the gondola - or other lifts, no activity at all.
A few new hotels / app. complex were built last year. They are building large numbers of new app. right now, so the que / waiting for the lifts ...

There are great hiking tracks in the Rila mountains, but - as said before - it's not very populair in BG ( so far ).

I drove over to boro on the 8th aug from sunny beach, and i have to say i was surprised how many people were there. Went up the gondola 10leva, and i was the only one with flip flops and teee shirt on!! Lots of bikers and walkers and loads of bulgarian oaps enjoying the sun shine. Went to Kokushkova kushta in Samokov for meal with my mate from Samokov fantastic always.Kevin
