we stayed at the Strazhite for New year 2005 and had a brilliant time. Banquet meal with free wine(Fizzy stuff too!) and grappa/spirits. Had to pay for beer though. Also hotel put on a pretty decent firework display. you will need to book if you want to eat out as the locals make a lot of new year too.
