Austria is soooo expensive according to a friend of mine - we compared prices last year, and you certainly need deep pockets from what I recall her telling me.
Hi agree it is more expensive at the top and quality not fantastic, however in answer to the question you need to bank on 10 - 15 lev per person for burger and chips and a couple of drinks, you can get away with less with soup and bread around 8 - 10 leva last year, if you are half board then unless you are skiing a huge amount then a big lunch will probably not be necessary, we were skiing around 15 mile + per day ( we were on the slopes from first lift to last lift every day) and got away ...

Hope this helps
A bag of trail mix dry fruit and nuts a few sweets and bits of choclate. You can nibble and graze as you are on the chair lifts and stop now an again for a hot wine or chocolate. Keeps u going all day and you can then save your money for good food and beer in the evening
Bloody hell, if there were any Bulgarians to read all this, they would be laughing their heads off. They are already laughing about the Brits who buy one soup and ask for two spoons...
Mall you must of had tap water if you had a main course and drink for 7/8 euro, a beer or coke is an average 5 euro...... stop talking s###t.
And yes i have been to places in the Alps and still do.
i do not understand why you need a huge meal lunchtime ? the Bulgarians will not be laughing, they are happy with a soup and bread. That keeps you going. then a great evening at real Bulgarian prices. not Piste prices.
I would love to know where in Europe is cheaper than Bulgaria ? I have looked and at the moment the best i skied is Kosovo (ok not europe really) but hotel and ski lift for 60 leva a night. ok , 30 euro , maybe30 pounds soon
hi tom .. most eating places at top o mountain owned by ... borosport / rila / samakov hotels.... except the one lizaloveit has mentioned.. it is on your left about 50 yards.. down about 20 / 30 steps .. food may not be alot cheaper than others but it is good and the views across the valley are great ... and they dont charge you to use the loo.......
