Can't believe I've never been Pamporovo before, and so glad I got the chance, such a nice little ski resort..
After having a queue free time at borovets the other week, was a bit of a shock to have 5-10 minute queue all day on the 3 man at Malina, but hopefully that was just the weekend busyness. What's that chairlift all about next to black 3 without any chairs on it, bit annoying it's not open as it's such a bottleneck at Malina.
Have yet to do the wall, just never got round to it... ...

Have yet to do the wall, just never got round to it... But overall really impressed with the piste selection, and the two blacks 3 & 4, wow they're steep, don't think I've been that scared in a while; even the green runs were steep, and run 7 is ridiculously narrow aha. They really do have a mish mash of chairlifts, very weird, and slow unfortunately... After riding the one man chairlift once with my knees as high as my head, i think the novelty has worn off
As for runs... The open ones were in great condition, a couple of slushy patches and holes on the side where there's water underneath (expected considering how much rain they've had recently!) Number 9 was closed which was advertised on the LED boards next to the chairlifts... But also one of the stoykite runs are closed, although I've skied it, the bottom bit has lots of patches and streams running across it!
But considering the conditions after the torrential rain last weekend and then rain Friday which luckily turned into snow and quite a lot of it, and snowing pretty heavily now, i got so lucky (again!!) and great conditions, bring on the rest of the week
You've been pamped it is a great resort the new lift will be a great boost when busy but due to usual Bulgarian politics not open yet
Pity about the rain but had a great week there last week wish I was with you now think this Feb is going to a great month for skiing there
Have Aberdeen in the White dog for me
Glad you are loving it dean because I do, my favourite run is black 4 which turns into red 4 all the way down to malina quite a ride and the legs get to know about it. Black 3 I shit myself more than the wall. The run with the lifts that arnt working is new and its political so lets hope for next year but the run down not sure what its called is fantastic.
Have a great week we are out on Thursday cant wait.
Aberdeen meant beer lol
Last weeks hike on lift up could see a guy on black 3 he was spread eagled flat could not get back up just kept sliding down did not look good
Hopefully now the weekend is out the way, the 3 man at Malina should be fine and not really need that other lift, I did think it looked new! Haven't done red 5, but the 3, 4 & presumeably 5 sshocked me how nice and long they are considering how steep as pamps doesn't have a massive vertical distance in comparison to most other resorts... But am so pleased on the whole with it not sure why there isn't any night skiing though when it's on their website, hmm... Thanks for all the help giving ...

Walked into the village tonight from the castle apartments... Can't believe how steep and narrow run 7 is for a green run!! But took no way near as long as expected to get into the centre of the tiny pamporovo village, 15mins each way... Stopped in the Belfry near perelik for some lovely food, didn't see the white hart though???
White hart is roughly next to the Alaska supermarket still shut apparently the reason I was told in the resort was they did not have the right permits reason for closing but now could op en but by being shut all the plumbing needs to be sorted
Ah you said white dog lol... Someone else said have I been white hart, must have seen the white part of your message and presumed it was that, so thanks for the explanation
So where is the white dog tthen, do they serve food?
I must say the village is like a ghost town... So quiet!!
If you are at three man around 930-1000 then it will be v busy should calm down after that though. Try The Danmar for food it is a great place on main road just after the police box
Hi Dean you mentioned the white hart well since it has closed the town has definitely got quieter, it was a bit like a catalyst at night lots of people would meet there and go on, hopefully next year. How cold is it and did much more snow fall last night it looks good on the cams.
White dog is situated at entrance to main car park of Malina station
Plan B and Daks seem to be the main venues for nightlife
peters pub is great for lunch getsnquite busy situated after red 13
