We are told everything is reopen today. Had a light dusting of fresh white stuff last night, hopefully conditions are sensible up there.

Luckily it seems like it was the storm/winds preventing the resort from opening... Hopefully it's cold enough to get snow cannons on Smile

Currently sat at petes Irish bar, sun shining, 2degrees, skiing ok, icy patches, hopefully the cannons will sort them out overnight, around 2/3 of the pistes open

Yay, all looks back to normal now.

Resort looks a bit too busy for my liking ! Hopefully it will be more deserted by the time I arrive. 4th week of Feb.

I am allergic to lift queues.

Bansko also looks very busy... i'm guessing there must be some sort of holiday, borovets doesn't look busy though which is weird.

Yes it is a local holiday and so the resort is very full.
The storm couldn't have happened at a worse time, horrendous weather for anyone out there and thank good news they had the sense to close the slopes as I suspect that is what has preserved the slush somewhat and allowed it to refreeze overnight. Some colder temps forecast this week with some snow towards the end if the forecasts are to be believed.
I bet the bars were busy yesterday!

Pamporovo seem to be closing runs, not reopening them Confused
In the duration of yesterday, number 2 and number 5 is now closed, and number 8 didn't reopen after the storm... I know they did have quite a bit of rain but the webcams still show a decent aamount of snow, so where's all this good piste management everyone seems to keep praising pamporovo for!?

I retract my previous statment... it took a few days but now showing 15/18 runs... well they include fun park and cross country... so works out 11/14 marked runs, not bad, bring on saturday Very Happy
