re: Pamps doomed?

Myself, my wife, my sister her husband and lots of friends and other members of family have been to pamps over the last 15 years on and off. It is a beautiful place with a goos atmosphere and you make great frindes. I agree that the prices are getting silly and very expensive. the snow has always been a bit on and off but the resort is a great place to have a holiday

long live pamps.

but the prices need to come down a bit in the resort.

re: Pamps doomed?

well, i just came back and even though the snow was rubbish i had a fantastic holiday, infact one of the best i ever had. it was my first time skiing and we managed to get a bit done, but i thought the whole atmosphere in town was great. got to meet loads of new people in the hotels and we had some great times outside of skiing. also not forgetting its absolutly stunning there in or out of snow! Yes it was more expensive than had hoped but not more than england, and definatly cheaper than ...

Yes it was more expensive than had hoped but not more than england, and definatly cheaper than the rest of europe that uses the euro! i think i would try another bulgarian resort though next time simply because i did not feel there was enough runs for a beginner for a whole weeks skiing.

re: Pamps doomed?

Chris I can only assume that you've never boarded in bansko. If you think that the slopes of pamps are of a similar extent or length, and that you can board (ha ha) from top to bottom in less than 5 minutes, you must have a pretty fast guide dog!

re: Pamps doomed?

We bought an apartment in The Castle 1 without even having been as it looked so beautiful, we went out there at the end of March 2008. Granted the snow wasn't good and the place was pretty much shut, but the locals rallied round to find us somewhere to ski and took us in their own cars. It was the best holiday ever and the place is stunning. We feel that it is up to us to try and encourage as many brits as possible to go out there and try it, knowing that they too will fall in love with the ...

We feel that it is up to us to try and encourage as many brits as possible to go out there and try it, knowing that they too will fall in love with the place. We are travelling out there again this March and are trying to encourage friends and family to come with us. It is a fantastic resort and just needs time as with any relatively unknown resort. We live in Wales and few people here know you can ski in Bulgaria, I have faith that Pamporovo is not doomed, but will continue to blossom and lets face it we don't want it overbuilt and overcrowded like other places.

Damo haha funny post,
from top to top of gondola (the ski area) can't you read?
But your missing my piont, all of the resorts in bg are very similar in size (can all be skied in a day) just bugs me when people are Bansko this and Bansko that and that it's so much better, but when compared to the likes of the espace Killy or the arlberg to name a few, all three are like postage stamps, I'm not knocking any of them I enjoyed Bansko and pamps but never been to boro, they are what they are and ...
