Tamara..is it possable to change or cancel holiday. I thought you had to provide some kind of sick note to do this other wise everyone would be doing the same.??? PS wanted to know is it worth hiring a car to look around the area not travel between ski resorts as Borv seems to have best snow.

Id imagine if you cancelled the holiday you would loose at least 90% of what you have already paid. Check the small print on your insurance and take the neccessary steps!best Of Luck

I think i will be hiring a car for the week i go not to travel to other resorts either. I do this in quite a few places as often it works out quicker and cheaper than getting transfers from the airport! Plus also like you said you want to do, look around the area. I think it is a good idea, although i have heard that the Bulgarian roads aren't in the best shape! But if you are confident enough, i would give anything a go!re: Partner going to kill me
Fran,Its a long way between resorts - and as all resorts suffering, probably best not to bother

Fran,I have also been watching this site daily in the hope that the weather situation will change! I too am going to Borovets on the 3rd Feb and taking my partner after I convinced him it will be lots of FUN! we are also first timers!
But hey if the snow lets us down it's still a week away with cheep booze, I'm sure there is lots of fun to be had with that!

borovets is a great resort and so is bulgaria .i'm biased as i part own a house near to borovets. i am sure there will be snow when you are going - i hope so as we are going on the 10 th feb..yes the food is crap in the main hotels but the local restaurants are good and very cheap.if you make the trip to the local town of samokov which is 10 minutes by taxi from the resort you will find good restaurants at one third of the price of the resort. its not switzerland or france but if you ...
