cheers, that's made Bansko seem more like an option... I just loved the fact that the resort is on the ski slope in borovets, unlike pamps and bansko

Boro for me every time, facts1/ you dont have to use the gondola
2/ night skiing
3/ better atmosphere
4/shorter transfer from sofia
5/sledging for the kids
6/forgotten the name of the restaraunt just off the black its amazing and great prices.
7/kas snow reports daily.
8/the pathway is miles better than the ski road in bansko.
9/ champions league on everywhere in the evenings.
ive skiied in boro and bansko, i feel borovets is a better all round resort,

Allof them seem very valid reasons, but i have been to borovets, and would like to try somwhere else; borovets s amazing and would be willing to go back... just seeing what the other resorts have to offer. Nobodys said anything about Pamporovo, is this the worst resort?re: Pistes Comparison!
been to both boro and bansko.
Have to say Bansko was far better for the skiing.. well in my case boarding. More runs, loads of space and queues for the lifts were no bother.....
Although we did have issue with the gondola in the mornings... over an hour 1 day.. wife was worried she'd miss her lesson.. she did but luckily managed to meet the group in the afternoon.
out of the 6 days we propbably only had 2 days where we queued less than 10 minutes. the rest were over 25 each... and we ...

still saying that we're heading back there this year.. our tip is to take your gear back to your hotel with you (if you hire from the school) that way you can avoid having to queue for it in themornings andreduce any delay in getting up on the slopes.
Boro had a much better nightlife though..but this could be because the pubs are much closer together and a lot easier to find. Bankso seems to be spread all over with the signs for the Irish bar being a bit confussing.. pointing one way then another,, then back on themselves.
Hopefully this year we'll have more luck with the pubs and not have to just go to happy end and pay 1 million levs for a pint

Pamporovo! It may be smaller but that doesn't mean its the worst! There is night skiing, snow tubing, snow cannons and excellent ski tuition. Enough runs to keep the advanced skiers happy for a couple of days and Chepelare resort only 10 minutes away.
Much prettier than Bansko (apparently - sorry can't comment personally, just going by comments from others) and I gather the night life is the best!

Not often asked about Pamporovo - we're a bit scared of singing its praises in case we get accused of trying to promote it!!re: Pistes Comparison!
As long as the ski bus runs all day, i think pamporovo looks good as well, Cheers See back to step 1. cant choose between the 3!
