Just as an add on, when we used Plovdiv, they x-rayed EVERY piece of luggage.
They caught a scouser we were having a laugh with, with his suitcase full of benny hedges (and I mean FULL). He got hauled into a little office, where he had the option of having them confiscated, or paying an "administrative" fee of about £40. Which option do you think he took?

I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN TO HAVE THEM CONFISCATED AS THEY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN BENSONS.

99% of all branded fags in Bulgaria are fake, despite looking authentic.
They are disgusting and can be very harmful. My advice is to buy Victory fags in Bulgaria. They are fine and only cost about 25p for 20.
