re: Queues in Bansko

This morning queues were very busy at 08.45hrs across the carpark and from the other entrance round by the main carpark.
20 mins for our guests straight up the mountian road by bus!! No problem and skiing from 09.05hrs....

Its getting busier as week goes on towards the World Cup. Friday, Saturday and sundayu are going to be manic especially with queues not just for skiing but the spectators going up for the world cup.

Ah well we will not be in them we are working as usual!!

This morning arrived at 8:15am but hit the queue at the buses queue for those who know the distance. Now again we had cretins push in and four people who we saw do exactly the same thing yesterday,,,, anyway we were on the slopes for 9:10am.

Going to bed now and aiming to hit the queue ten mins earlier tomorrow.

Oh snow has been great really great in fact for most days I've been here this week it's been snowing all the tine I've been on the slope froma dumping hard to a nice flurrey.

Anyway I've had a great 3 days on the slopes with 3 more to come - sorry 4 amazing days with 3 to cone get in. Also i'm doing 8am to ..,,,,,.. 5pm hard going legs in bits but my what great fun and sp many stories over the week about adventures we have had personally or witnessed or been told.

Sadly seen a few bit injuries some self inflicted by too much speed others really bad luck on their falls. Whatever the reason rescue services were fast and piste users inthe high majority all checked that the faller was ok.

re: Queues in Bansko

My boyfriend and I are coming out 7th March, same dates as last year and we had no problems with queues at the Gondola. We walked straight on each day so hoping it will be the same when we come in a few weeks!

Last year we booked with Explore Bansko and are going again in March. They have a 7 seater 4X4 and offer a VIP pick up service if you book with them. They collect you from your apartment, take you to their ski shop to get kitted out and then onto the gondola but they will also take you up to the mid station for an small extra charge if the gondola queues are too long, and they will also pick you up from the gondola and take you back to your apartments after! We managed to get 20% off our ski hire for March but our friends got 1/2 price ski hire as they are stopping at their apartments in the St Ivan Ski (& Spa) complex. Can't wait to get over there again Smile
