Rain

Gutted, just been looking at few 14 day weather forecasts. We are due to arrive on the 22nd but there is rain forecast on the 18th onwards.
This is sure to wash what little snow is there away.
Hope this forecast is wrong!

i wouldn't pay any attention to that mate! the forecasts change every day if its a few degrees colder then all that rain will be snow! i would just wait and see how it pans out dont think anyone can make a good prediction past 2 or 3 days never mind 14!

very true like over here they cant even get tomorrow right let alone 2 weeks away. i wouldnt worry to much buddy

agree with Ryan - I was in Bansko 2 years ago around 20th Jan and it was raining cats and dogs in the town - got 5mins into the gondola ride and the rain became snow and perfect conditions.... Long term forecasts are notoriously unreliable - chin up mate!!

Sorry to be such a pessimist. Really looking forward to it and if I am honest dont know much about Bulgarian weather. I went to Romania aboat 5 years ago and there was no snow at all for the first few days!
Am I right in saying that Bansko is a higher resort though?

Oh dear oh dear. What you are looking at is the forecast for the resort ie the bottom of the mountain. If it rains in resort it more than likely will snow on the mountain.
Anyway snow forecasting that far in advance is about as reliable as a condom with a hole in it.
