Just back from Borovets.Went on a late min deal just for a crack.Cost us £300 each so cheap could not miss it as never been.Not going again I now know why its so cheap- poor hotels/dogs/and poor pistes.

It's a shame you didn't enjoy it, my group of freinds & the people in our ski class had a wicked time, agree the hotels could be improved, but for the prices we paid it was value for money.We were all beginners and throughly enjoyed it - the red runs were excellent, the snow couldn't have been better & nightlife was brilliant!

Ollie what hotel was u in , I stayed in moura was cheap and it was bad , food crap but the room was pld but very warm and always had hot water as for the runs I thought they were in very good condition and I had a great time and going back next year.re: Returned

Hm, well i personally think a place is what you make it. You must be a pretty boring person. Eveyone else had fun, and im sure if they were bored they made fun.Boro, was brilliant.

but it makes me think: people who have been to lots of different places before seem not to be very keen on Bulgarian resorts. Any views from others who are able to compare? It is clear that first-timers seem to love it.re: Returned
Its true-I have been skiing worldwide.Compared to most other Ski resorts Bulgaria is rubbish for Pistes and Hotels etc.re: Returned

We have been to ski resorts in Austria, Italy, USA and Canada. This year we thought we'd give Bulgaria a try. We loved Bansko and will definitely go back. We placed it second only to Banff in Canada where we went last year. I think the hotels are of a very good standard in Bansko the only drawback perhaps being the food. However we found breakfast in the Pirin quite acceptable and tended to eat out in the evenings. All other facilities in the hotel were on par with or better than we ...

Also we like the fact that Bansko is a proper town and not just a man-made resort which is why we liked Banff too. I think it makes a big difference. And you save a packet on the price.
There are a lot of whingers on this board. Its your holiday for christs sake. Enjoy it and stop moaning.
