re: Returned

Thank you for that. I am Bulgarian, so I am very worried that my opinion is biased, so I try not to express it. But I have been in Switzerland and Austria and have had good and bad skiing conditions there. Quite agree that Bansko is on a par with some of the best. Perhaps Borovetz is not (have not been there for many years). Bansko is different in every respect, the lifts are the latest technology and you can't expect better. A run from the top to the bottom is actually better than the best ...

A run from the top to the bottom is actually better than the best one I had in Crans Montana. But surely things are not that good in Boro, perhaps this explains everything.

re: Returned

Some people seem to love Borovets and Pamps also. Others have a problem. We chose Bansko because there seemed to be more choice of runs for the intrmediate skier and we liked the idea of a proper town. As you say the lifts are modern and also the hire equipment. We have our own boots but hire skis and we were more than happy with our salamon carvers. We also liked the way you could return them to the hire shop overnight and just get on the hotel bus with your boots. So much easier.

re: Returned

Although I found the slopes limited at Borovets and the food horrible I still had a good time its what u make it.I wouldn't go back to Borovets but Bansko sounds like a good place to try.
