Hit me with it! I'm quite convinced about going ahead and booking now. Although the views are quite conflicting, I don't think I will get a better package or Hotel in Borovets judging by the standard.

well ive been 4 times now to the same resort and once to andorra a few years back, Bulgaria is the same standard of ski facilities just much cheeper, and the cost of living in the resort is much chepper as well. The main reason i went to Borovets is because of the Transfer time from Sofia is just over an hour so it doesnt take too long on the coach to get there. And once theer everything is just a stone throw away from the hotel, The slopes and lifts are just outside the door and the bars ...

When are you thinking about booking up couls allways come with our lot if your on your own, more the merrier. Simon

Many thanks for that, it's kind of you. I'm going to book tonight and will be going 27th Feb till 5th March flying from Humberside to Plovdiv. I haven't checked out the transfer times yet to Borovits from Plovdiv.

re: Rila Hotel - Borovets

just come back from rila over xmas. me and wife and twin 9 yr old boys
hotel rooms clean and tidy. lobby smokey but no sign of prossies. I believe they had guards attending to it.
food not as bad as we expected although pretty average. we did eat out as well. toaster crap.
main problem is the unwillingness to get the lifts running. i am skier and was horrified by large queues. wife and kids did learn to ski though so they enjoyed it.
overall not too bad, prob not return again though.
