Bought my Nordicas at Ellis Brigham last year and had some custom made insoles fitted.Skied in Pamps and Italy in them and no problems whatsoever.
However other makes of boot seem cheaper in BG so it could be worth getting them there if you have a personal recommendation
For ski boots it is always better and wiser to buy them in your home country prices are not that much different unless you buy old gear in the resort or end of season.
British prices for boots arnt costing much more as they use to be.By buying in UK you will have plenty of time to mould them by wearing them for say 10 hours -1 hour at the time walking in the house or even dry sloping somewhere near you.The inner boot needs to adapt to the shape of your foot so by bying them in the ...

To Pamp Pete-Lange are good boots but they are not even close for being comfortable.Stick to the make which fits -doesnt matter what the name is.
Of course Lange will have to fit after 9 years.I use myself Lange but would not recommend them to novice or intermediate.
And one more thing which is important: do you want to waste time going back and forth to ski shop in the resort in you holiday for which you are paying or rather ski ,enjoy your time and leave the boots in the evening for the next day and have non stop fun
Thank you for telling me I'm wrong Mikey. - but how can you tell me Lange are not comfortable when I've been skiing hard for 9 years in them???? They didn't just fit after 9 years, they have been perfect from day 1. And try Snow & Rock for prices if you have won the lottery lately. Wearing boots around the home is nothing like skiing in them as you do not use the same muscles nor do you allow your feet to sweat and swell and very few would tighten them to the correct level.

If you've 40 years experience in the ski business then why not recommend a make rather than say mine are not comfortable.
I'm with mikey on this I think - different brands are slightly different shapes so what is good for one person is bad for another. This is why its important to get a store with a good range of boots and a good advisor who can communicate with you in a language you understand. It took (admittedly in a busy store) a total of 6 hours in two trips to try all the boots, select the pair, get them moulded and then adjusted.
My last word on the subject would be that if you buy them in the store ...

My last word on the subject would be that if you buy them in the store at home, the salesman knows you'll be coming back and complaining if he's sold you a pair that aren't right. The guy at the resort knows he'll probably never see you again and has no incentive to do anything but sell you the most expensive pair he can. Perhaps I'm just too cynical.
Utter drivel !!! And shows what little you know about Bulgaria. Give advice by all means - but please facts not maybe's.
1. I have yet to go into any ski shop in Bulgaria where the staff do not speak perfect English. And I've been in prettey much all of them in Pamporovo.
2. How can you take boots back and 'complain' as you put it when you are 1,500 miles away in another country?
3. I, my wife and eight of our friends have bought ski boots in Bulgaria over the last few years (2 last ...
