When travelling with the car I take my 6ltr pressure cooker - there's never a big enough saucepan to cook pasta or lentils in! Hubby thinks I'm crazy - BUT at least I know my youngest will eat at least one meal!

Be aware that you will encounter many toll roads as you drive through Europe and in Eastern Europe the roads are not always in good condition. If I drive to Borovets from my house in Worcestershire it is 1680 miles on the shortest route but expensive on tolls. I find that I can avoid most tolls and use only quality road surface if I take an alternative route that is 2550 miles and takes six days.
