It happens all around the world and not just BG but knowledge is power and could help you out at some point.
OK one from me.
The maids put baby oil on the buttons of your room safe, as you only use 4 buttons they can shine a torch at the buttons and your finger prints show up.
They can then tell which 4 to keep trying to open it.
In Egypt they give you a price and if you don't confirm currency you are dealing in will charge you in £ rather than Egyptian £ ( approx times it by 10)
In your usual UK based english pub/bar for a bit more than the price of
a) a glass of red wine you can buy a whole 75cl bottle from a well known supermarket
b) For about the price of two Bacardi breezers you can buy a four pack from the same supermarket
C) in fact all drinks cost more having it served to you than buying from a supermarket.
Separate issue now, one of the biggest scams, rip-offs of all is the extortionate prices paid and being asked for many properties in southern ...

When I arrive at any holiday destination I find out prices before I buy. If I feel that £3 for a soft drink is too much - I don't have one or I bring my own. Personally, (and travelling as a sinlge parent with a child ) I am prepared to pay the £3 each lunchtime to sit at the top of the mountain in a warm enviroment and enjoy the views and atmosphere - considering the bargain I got my holiday for. Some friends didn't and sat outside in the snow with their cans bought from the supermarket ...
