re: Scotland

On average - About £28 a day for a lift pass (based on what I read in the Telegraph!)
Add on your driving costs and accom and you will get a fair idea.
I have skied Scotland (Cairngorm, Lecht and Nevis Range) - had a brilliant time on each occasion. If it is too far for people you could always try Durham & Cumbria - all 3 main ski clubs are still reporting good snow conditions!

Enjoy UK skiing!

re: Scotland

Or look at smaller European resorts, I frequently go over to N Spain, cheap flight, less that 100 euro return, cheap car hire, 3.5 hour drive, 10 euro a day lift pass, 40 euro B&B for double room in v nice hotel, plenty of cheaper accommodation options and snow level from 1200m lifts start at 1600 upwards, great snowpark, good atmosphere in fact the best people I have snowboarded with, really jolly, none pushy lot. Eat and drink remarkably cheap and great quality. Very Happy

re: Scotland

I find it amusing that people say it is a long drive to ski in Scotland - Sam seems to think 2.5hrs to ski at the English club fields is a long drive, yet most of you will think nothing about driving to an airport, parking, waiting for a bus, check-in and security. If you are lucky it is a direct flight to Bulgaria (if not, repeat the above). Wait for bags on the other side, wait for bus, 2hr+ transfer and if you are going to Bansko maybe a 2 hour wait for the gondola each day.

Come to Scotland in March or April - usually great weather, quiet slopes and great whisky

re: Scotland

Hi Jonbonce, I go to Leitariegos in the Asturia region, which is great I have also been to Val grande- Pajares, not sure what conditions are like there at the moment but I am heading out to leitariegos on the 18th for some spring snow, ace conditions at the moment. Both resorts a bit far from you but have a look around Spanish ski resorts on snoweye or forums, the small resorts are really good fun.

re: Scotland

Jonbonce, one thing, weekdays are really quiet at the moment in the smaller Spanish resorts but weekends do rev up on the slopes, although everybody is pretty relaxed they can get busy especially on a Sunday, really worth being first on the mountain.
