Very true! I've been at the Cairngorms all day today and for the first time i can remember in a long time it was glorious sunshine, no wind and fresh powder EVERYWHERE! If anyone is wanting some practice before heading out to Bulgaria, i highly reccomend getting up here soon!

I've been looking at Glenshee on the websites for a few days now, but have missed the opportunity to get up there during this Christmas holiday.
I couldn't get a grip on where to stay, best budget accommodation, ski hire etc.
Snow-Forecast states that road access to Glenshee can be a problem - this also put me off a little.
If you have any information / suggestions or recommendations for Skiing in Scotland I would be pleased to hear.
Regards Bulgaria I went to ...

Try staying in Braemar (North of Glenshee) as you have the option of also skiing at the Lecht. The road to Glenshee is not usually a problem but if it is, the North side us nurmally first to open. I don't think either Lecht or Glenshee have had the roads closed for more than a few hours in the morning (at the very most) this winter.
Here is the Lecht webcam link:

Travelled up to Glenshe from Livepool 2 days ago to go skiing. I have to say I was disapointed. The queues were horrendous, some 20 - 25 mins for a lift. Ski hire seemed expensive at £17 and I didnt think the £25 lift pass was good value. And the amount of rocks on piste (if you can call them pistes) was unbelievable. But still, it was skiing i Britain. Just my opinion, but if you do go to Glenshee dont expect overseas conditions.
I response to Mikes post i bet all those who are in BG at moment wish they had the conditions that Scotland does, ok a queus are long and rocks showing but at least you can see snow, i agree skiing in Scotland is a different experience, £25 or a lift pass may seem pricey but you can pay this sort of money for an hour at indoor ski slopes etc, Scotland skiing can be very cold and demanding, ok its not the Alps but better conditions there than certainly Pamps and Borovets
