re: Scottish pounds not legal tender?

We stopped at a cash point in Blackpool while driving to Manchester from Fife and took out money at an ATM. english notes. There's an ATM at Manchester but not sure if there's one atr East Midlands if you're flying from there

They will accept them

Being irish and in the same predicament as many of you fellow celts i can tell you that they will be accepted , however the at a much lower rate. In our group somebody changed bank of ireland notes ( Northern irish sterling notes!! for the mentally challenged ) and the rate they got was 2.35 Vs. 2.85 for the bank of england notes. Ideally change them to the english counterpart, however thats as far as it goes. They are still the ole enemy........Bring on Twickenham !!
