That's the point Steve - I can already ski pretty much anything. My technique and grace may be lacking but I am more than competent to enjoy the whole mountain including off-piste.
I will be skiing with my wife and father-in-law who are good as well so we will be able to have a great time if the snow is good. We will also be skiing with the kids after their lessons - bit more tame but if I am on skis at least I would not have to worry about myself and I can concentrate on helping ...

So the reality is that I would have to give up time bombing round the mountain with my wife and father-in-law to dedicate to boarding. For many I guess this would be a no brainer but I really enjoyed the little boarding I did before and like the different way of enjoying the slopes. I am very very tempted....
