Single Father And Daughter: Advice Needed

Hi
I am planning on taking my 5 year old to Bulgaria for 10 days over Xmas and the new year but not sure which resort would be best. I've never been skiing before and really just want a friendly resort where we can go sledging and have a laugh together. Anybody have any advice? I am a bit nervous because I'ts just going to be me and the little one.

Looking to book flights this evening or tomorow so speedy replies would be most welcome.

Chhers,see you on the slopes!

Would recommend Pamporovo for family not because I have an apartment their but the runs are good for a person with not much experience they even have a green run (easy)from top to bottom and ski instructors are very good. Would recommend some lessons when your their and remember research by a leading insurance company says that Bulgaria is 40% cheaper that say your French resorts. All we need is the white stuff!!!! Pamps.
Stop in the Studenets area so that you don't have to worry about transfers every morning and every night, (it's right on the slopes half way up the mountain/ski in-ski out). Everything you would need is there (ski hire/schools).
The Grand Monastery is the best hotel in this spot and caters really well for families... pool, games rooms, bowling, restaurant etc... Plus there are other restaurants/bars within spitting distance if you fancy a change.
If you google Grand Monastery ...

If you google Grand Monastery Pamporovovn there will be plenty of hits. They also advertise on here.

I would recommend Borovets. It's very child friendly. There's lots to do as well as skiing eg bowling, swimming. The main benefit, though, is the short transfer from Sofia airport. It's only about 1 hr 15 mins. Much further to Pamporovo.

Hi Ben, I have been to all resorts and would go for Pamporovo for a beginner. The reason, it is child friendly and the slopes are gentle and accommodating. Hope there is plenty of snow for you! You and your child will love it. The Snezlanka is a good spot for putting your feet up, but wouldn't disagree with studenets either! G'luck.

re: Single Father And Daughter: Advice Needed

i think transfer time is an important consideration. Especially if travelling with children. If you are flying into Sofia then Pamporovo is a very long transfer time. You are much better going to Borovets or Bansko. Borovets would be the better pick if you are interested in sledging or just messing around on the slopes because the ski runs come into the village. In Bansko you might not actually have any snow in the town. Other than the transfer time Pamporovo would also suit your needs
