I hope to take my ski boots (in a boot bag!) as hand luggage.
They are just with in the size criteria laid down and weigh 5kg.
Has anyone had issue with taking ski boots on board with easyjet?
My own personal view on this is that boot bags should go in the hold for ever and ever - Amen. Cannot see any sense in lumping boot bags around duty free for 2 hours then bash everybody who is seated on the plane with them as people drag them along the isles, then try and ram them into overhead lockers that are barely sufficently big enough to take peoples duty free purchases, along with ski jackets and god knows what else!
People will be ...
Don't start me off on this one again Pete

Pete,
It's purely don't want them to get bashed about and room in suit case issue.
As I see it, you pays for your ticket and it's up to the individual what he wants to take his allocated space up with, whether it be booze or boots!
This will be the only item I take on board.
So as per the original question:
Are there any issues from easyjets prospective?
No - only if you are flying back from Grenoble in which case they make you check them at no extra cost. Something to do with security there.
Your ski boots have to put up with a lot more bashing on the slopes than they do from the luggage handlers but as there is no duty free in Europe anyway, the point is moot.....
Not sure of what the EasyJet position is but many airlines dont allow boots in the passenger cabin space because they are classed as potential dangerous weapons! We always pack ours in our cases and they go in the hold.
Although I carry mine in my hold luggage, I think it is a case (no pun intended!) of double standards, when you look at the size and weight of some of the suitcases that are allowed on as hand luggage.
Mitch,
I agree, the airline set the size criteria.
I dont want them bashed about in the hold and won't have room in mi suit case, hence the question!
May be a mad re arrange at check in though!!!
