What I'd go for Jim, (what we did go for this year Jim)
His 'n' Hers North Face matching jackets.
Good for posing around the shops with the Mrs.
and good stuff on the ski slopes.
The triclamate system has two jackets. The inner jacket is the one for going shopping in the winter, then for skiing put on your top jacket and away you go.
The other stuff I've got is PORSCHE ski pants. Great quality and no garish Porsche logos just little tags on the zip pulls (which I removed actually ...

They are the same colour (Vauxhall Viva grey).

Been looking on the web Snow + rock shop in victoria seenthose jackets your talking about nudger pretty good'Itheir top of the range jackets are £360 DOES anyone know if i could get them cheaper it's not that i am tight but i like a bargain NORTH FACE

I prefer to pay £360 for the holiday NOT the jacket!!! North face supposed to be good quality but I haven't seen anything that knocks my socks off from them, but as I haven't worn it I can't really comment. Do the Porsche Pants make you go faster Nudger ??? If so then Porsche it is!Going back to the original question, only Jim knows his wife's taste. I guess the only sensible answer is buy the best you can afford and make sure its in her style! ( but keep the receipt just in case!)

Was in BLACKS last week and they some NF Triclimates reduced from £250 to £125 - outstanding jacket at a fantastic price...if I hadn't just bought a new Lowe Alpine 3 in 1 I could have been tempted!
