Your insurance should cover you for full refund - worth checking it out. Most insurances will not expect your wife and child to go without you and could save you the hassle of trying to sell it.

Good luck and remember it's best to break a leg at the END of a skiing holiday - if you must break something.

With such short notice you really are asking for a miracle.
Other than advertise on this forum and some of the other ski related forums, there really isn't much else that you can do.

I'm surprised that your insurance will not reimburse you as this is a typical claim scenario. I know because I have done the saem thing myself in the past weith no problems.

The reason I can't claim is that I did'nt take out insurance at time of booking. I was going to take out a yearly policy this week!!!
