Are there any ski jumping 'ramps' in Borovets or nearby?? 
Whilst I have never skied before I have a feeling that after a couple of days I will have mastered the art and be looking for my next challenge.
I've been watching a fair bit of ski jumping on British Eurosport recently and to be honest it doesn't look too hard.
Also, out of interest, are there any limits to the width of ski permitted in Olympic ski jumping as surely a wider ski will act as a sort of wing to help ...

I'm sure you will be able to find some suitable little mounds you can jump over while skiing down the runs. Just remember that it doesn't look that difficult on the telly because those chaps have spent many years perfecting the technique required. However, give it a go if you feel up to it, just make sure that you have a good travel insurance policy just in case it all goes pear shape!There is going to be LOADS of snow over the next week or so, so enjoy it and happy skiing!

Cheers for the optimism Mato.Never fear Judith, I didn't get to where I am today without taking a few risks. You can't spend the whole holiday Curling!
Maybe we can meet up for a quick Bobsleigh if your around next week.

There is a ski jump just outside the main Borovets resort but I would have to be marched up to the top at gun point to even get me there.Is your middle name really Eddie (Eagle).

Thankfully I'll not be in Borovets until 5th Feb - don't fancy scraping up all that strawberry jam when you try ski jumping and realise what a stupid idea it really was.re: Ski Jumping
I'll be there the week after.... I hope I hear stories about a crazy Brit who hit the ski jump with such force that he hasn't been seen since and all he left behind was a echoy yelp and a woolly hat!re: Ski Jumping
Mr WattsWhy not try it Blind folded while being blootered? Is that a challenge to such a legend as yourself? Just go for it- and mind and get a video of it to post on here.
