I've been pondering on whether to buy boots or not. A mate suggested just getting newer/better boots in the resort & just paying a small fee.
Does anyone know if you can just hire newer boots in Pamps & would it make a difference?
My figures on buying new are roughly £150.00 but £25.00 plane carriage and toting them about. I only go once per year so is it worth spending this on it?
Put your boots in with your lugage - then you wont have to pay!
Having you own boots and getting them correctly fitted is well worth it in my opinion - if for nothing else just for the comfort. You have them on your feet for a long time during a week! Do it!
The thing with putting them in my luggage is that this year I'm a lucky girl & i'm going for 2wks but still only have the same luggage allowance, mind I am getting washing done while I'm there.
If you suffer with your feet then from experience I would certainly invest in your own boots, I took mine this time but took very little hand luggage so they used my hand luggage allowance for the boots.
If you buy boots over here you may find unless you get them in the sale a good pair for advanced ski boots is more than £150, I was checking snow and rock and the ones suitable for me were over £200, so maybe an idea to purchase them in Bulgaria to get a better deal or wait till the sales ...

who you going with? can't you just take their stuff out of their case when they are not looking so you get their allowance
I went for two weeks last year and had same problem with my luggage allowance, bought some washing powder in resort and took travel iron and a few items got washed by the hotel as its very reasonable to do this over there.
I presume thats a boys description of what to take on holidays.
I thought they would be over £150.00 but just using that a ball park figure to start with. I'm not going till March this year so I'm hoping the sales may start end of Feb or like you were saying thought I might get them while over there.
The deal is I'm going for 2wks with sis-in-law & the boys inc son are coming out for the 2nd week so I don't think she'll wear with that.
Does anyone have any idea roughly how much ...

Does anyone have any idea roughly how much the weigh? I've just tried looking & theres no weight details on the websites.
We're flying with Balkan & I just rang & checked & they said its 20kg hold & 5kg hand luggage (only 1 piece).
Balkan allow you 5kg extra for boots for £17, I added it to my booking yesterday, sounds like it would be worth it for you.
I tend to put my timberlands in my boot back with my ski boots and it weighs roughly 5kg
don't worry too much about taking loads you will find you can manage with one week of clothes if you wash them through and the hotels rooms are that hot they dry quick....
