Hi all...

Even with the less than perfect weather snow wise they have opened the two top runs on the mountain...
Tempertures have definately dropped so the cannons will continue, but the even better news is snow is forecast in the next couple of days. On my return back from Sofia i noted new snow on the Rila as well. Bansko now in full swing with the re-opening of `The Friendly Bar' and the `Lion'.. I noted `Amigo's' being set up, and various other bars and restaurants...
Ate and drank today at the `Pirin Bistro', formally the `Bondi' and to us `the Mish Mash'... Large beer - 1.90lv, sudzuk with mixed garnish 7lv... Beware though of some of the tourist places, heard a couple of days ago, 2 beers plus a voddie and coke not to far from the Strazhite (errr, opposite ??) 19lv
Vote with your feet people... will get a decent idea over the next couple of weeks about bar prices (its a job but someone has to do it ) but early signs are looking quite good for JJ Murphys, hopefully Irish will respond similar, and we note that `Diamonds' is under new management ??? Balkan reporting bookings up 5% over last year ?? general feel is on the up ?? who knows, could be a great season
We have our official opening this weekend, Peter Mueller and Pirmin Zurbriggin (ask your dad) in attendance, with a distinct likelyhood that it could be held in the snow heres hoping...
