This implementation seems to be accepted by the people here, who still if they wish to smoke can find a number of bars and restaurants that can cater for them. The limitation is the fact that if it is a smoking bar/restaurant then no person under 18 years can enter the premises, even if accompanied by their parents...
The selling of this new law was based on the benefits to children, and this has been welcomed by most...
In respect of Bansko, i only know of one tourist bar which now is non-smoking, and that is the `Irish Bar', many others setting aside non-smoking areas...
Also noted is the total ban in OMV restaurant areas, shopping malls, public buildings etc.. but i have to admit that using OMV petrol stations a lot with our work, i have noticed a drop in the numbers using their facilities...
Appreciate that the UK and Ireland are the only EU countries to enforce the complete ban, the others deciding that a more logical approach is the way forward.. Bulgaria deciding the same
