As the bars that don't allow smoking shut down through a lack of trade all bars in bulgaria will soon be all smoking.

They tried it as a pre-empt (is that right ??) to accession to the EU in 2004 i believe, didn't work then....
Lets be honest, most countries in the EU have a far more realistic approach to the smoking ban than the UK, where the carpet ban with associated criminal fines have alienated a large portion of the population, and led to the breakdown of what was considered the backbone of English society.... The Pub....
But then again, our non-elected primeminister and his lackies know whats best ...

Fat chance of a smoking ban in BG ever being policed, I can't imagine any politician running a campaign in the up coming summer elections to ban smoking, not even their grandmother would vote for them!!!!!re: Smoking in Bulgaria
Any police coming in to try and enforce any bann would have a cigarette hanging out the corner of their mouths
Some restaurants I visited in Sofia asked if I wanted smoking or non smoking area, so some moves have been made.
