Looks like you got to have balls of steel to do this but hey i`d be up for some of this action. How easy is it to learn? and also do you have to have a special snowboard and bindings e.t.c?
Na ya don't need a special snowboard but its easyer if you have a board with a shallower side cut and flow bindings to get in an out faster.
A normal board and bindings would get ya going and any kite flying experience is good. You can pick up a 4.5 meter flexfoil on Ebay for under a £150 quid which is loads a fun on the snow or not.
Its like any thing you can take it as far or as high as ya like.
I'm surprised their's not more of a scene if their is some good open spaces, though does ...

been going to Boro for the last 4 years, yes you may have enough space up top to fly/ski but you may have to get up early to beat the crowds. As for wind, they seem to manage to shut the gondala at least once a week every time I have been there due to strong winds.
The snow kite looks fantastic, wish I were there to join you and have a bash at it but not there till 12th Jan. Gang of 8 so far.
hi andy
if youve never used kites before you might wanna try something smaller than a 7.5m to get the hang of the launch and control of the kite..youll be suprised at how much power there is even in light winds..if you have then the 7.5 will be fine for a medium breeze..i used an ozone little devil 3.5m in france last year which was great for cruising around but no good for getting air. the package you were looking at is not really suitable for the water..you might wanna look at the ...

Best places for snowkiting in Bulgaria - Vitosha mountain and the ridge of Stara Planina mountain. Vitosha mountain is near capital Sofia, there is lift leading to the plateau. Stara planina ridge near towns of Karlovo and Kazanluk. But you should to be prepared bout tricky winds in Bulgaria.
