i went last year on the last week of Feb and came back 1st March. It was my 3rd time to Borovets and to be honest i wont go that late again.Maybe we had a bad week, but id rather go earlier. The top slopes were ok,but towards the bottom it was just ice and bits of mud we coming thru, especially on the green slopes coming down. All the slopes were icy,and it showed as my friend broke his collar bone on the blue slope at the bottom in the 1st hour of the holiday!! re: Snow in March

Went first week of march last year to Borovets. Snow on lower slopes was awful, half of them closed with muck everywhere. Snow up top was great but you couldn't skiback to resort and had to get gondola back which meant queing to get down mountain. Also gondola was closed 3 out of my 6 skiing days. From own experience, i wouldn't recommend it

MMMMM

By the sounds of what people are saying and thanks for your input, its not good in Borovets. Think we may look for somewhere else. Doh Sad

re: Snow in March

the last week of feb and first week of march were bad in Borovets last year. then it had a massive dump of snow and the conditions for the last 2 weeks of March were ideal

Have a look at my photos on http://www.closingtime.co.uk/

We've been going around 5th to 7th of March most years and always skied every day.

The only thing I found is there seems to be less snow in the village now than in the past. All this really means is you can’t always ski back to the hotel / ski depot.

In my mind there’s always been enough varied skiing to be had in the resort. After all I’m going back for my 7th time this year…

Hope this ...

re: Snow in March

Bansko's the place to go that late in the season. Simple as that. 161 snow cannons can't be wrong.

Damo

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the temperature still had to be below zero degrees Celsius for the Snow Cannons to work.
