So you see me as a wee Asian girl ... you've reached a new weird Bob.

...and to re-phrase your last question ... "fancy driving us to hillend next sat?" not really, think I'll be working at the ski slope anyways.

I used my considerable charm and tact ... something I'll be doing a lot of in Borovets apologising for you two! In fact Stu will be fine, it's just you who'll need a leash and muzzle.

re: Snowboarding alone? Last minute?

"Anything else just ask!!" Here goes:

[Having read other posts and seeing you work out there] Are there any bar jobs going this late in the season? I applied to some places last October but had no luck, hence now looking at a holiday. I have bar experience and speak German Very Happy

Otherwise, can you recommend a tour operator to book through? I've looked at Balkan Holidays and now Crystal.

A friend wavering on accompanying me doubts the snow is good/deep enough in Bulgaria - how is it ...

A friend wavering on accompanying me doubts the snow is good/deep enough in Bulgaria - how is it this year?

Finally, what MUST I get in the UK before departing? e.g. suitable glothes, goggles(?!), ice pack for my ass... like I say, I've only ever snowed on dry slopes before!

Your advice is greatly appreciated! This message board is great.

You've only ever snowed on dry slopes? I think I know what you mean!

The snow is certainly deep enough for some great skiing or boarding .... I've had a few brilliant powder days out there and plently of boarding in brilliant sunshine so no worries there.

A lot of gear is available out there at bargain prices but I'd recommend a trip to a local sports shop or even a TK Maxx for a set of salopets and a decent ski jacket. Layer up underneath according to the weather on the day and what ...

A lot of gear is available out there at bargain prices but I'd recommend a trip to a local sports shop or even a TK Maxx for a set of salopets and a decent ski jacket. Layer up underneath according to the weather on the day and what you have handy ... thermals/ski pants/jogging bottoms and tshirts/sports tops/fleeces.

Eye protection is handy, especially for the sunny days, so pack a decent set of sunglasses ... goggles are only really useful when it's snowing or raining although they do offer a bit more protection and padding if you face plant.

Also, pick up a decent hat, scarf, gloves, sunscreen, sports socks (2 thin pairs or one thick pair as desired), lip balm and anything else anyone else here can think of! Anything else you can probably get in the resort.

Finally, pack your glad rags and your drinking trousers! Booze

Operators I'm looking at right now include Balkan, Inghams, Thomson Ski and Crystal ... all coming in around the same prices at the moment.
