re: So how cold is cold?

I didnt realise it would be that cold!!

I bought a pair of cheap Burton gloves for last year in Avoriaz but i think i may need to invest in new more expensive ones in addition to more thermal layers.

I am quite worried about my camera and watch dying out there now... Has anyone else had a similar experience with things breaking because of the cold?

buy a good hat is my advice....get one in the resort from one of those old ladies that sell the socks on the street..
if youve got a decent jacket you shouldnt need thermals etc...and for your bottom half...well, its ladies tights!!

two years ago,it was minus 36 at the top of the moutain in pamps,must have been mad to ski but you are only there for one week,i had good gloves but the cold crept into the finger tips,and they were not the safest conditions to ski in
