2 years ago on the way home there was massive delays. the limited shops and food places ran out of money (or change to be more specific) so by the 8th hour they were giving out chewing gum as change! the food was terrible and ive never been so frustrated in all my life! Its slightly better now but remember its an ex militarty airport so wasnt purpose built for tourists. Its on a par with any welsh airports

You are confusing Sofia with Plovdiv Tamara.

Sofia is a fully operational International Airport with Duty Free Shopping and full amenities. Plovdiv is the ex military base.

When do you arrive Jon. I get there on the 4th of feb then plan to get train to plovdiv and bus up to Pamps

arrive on 27th Jan. Got transfers to Boro. Was just thinking about on the way home - if we have a delay, I dont want a dogy airport like Crete (worst one I have ever been in and no chairs!)
