Has anyone been on the trip to Sofia on the last day of their holiday? Just wanted to know if it's worth doing & cost. We are with Inghams and fly out from Gatwick next week
we're so excited we have started packing already

Did it last year, beats hanging around the resort. They take you on a tour of the cathedral (boring), then to a pizza place which includes a beer. Then the rest of the day is yours to do as you please, We will be doing it again this year.re: Sofia day trip from Borovets

Cost us £15 each last year.

We did it a couple of years back when we were at boro. Thought it was worth it and did enjoy looking around Sofia.Only problem we had was when we were told they closed the airport and we got changed to Plovdiv. Although our friends flying to london had to go to Bourgas.

So just a question, why do you try it not yourself? 30 quid are round about 70 levs, right... okay you have to take your baggage and take the bus to Samokov, not sure this year last year 1,50lev, then jump to the bus to Sofia, both buses are going every 30 minutes. Make an adventure and ride the Sofia Metro really new; I think they is now in the second season, jump out Serdika and look the place ZUM and more, catch a OK Super Taxi for 0,69 lev a km and go to Central Station or Central Bus ...

Now you can find out what is happened in the market hall, see the Sofia kathedral, the mosque, the small church in the court of radisson hotel equal more, jump back 3 hours before your flight is gooing look for some small mechana near the station grab your baggage take the next ok super taxi for round about 12 lev to airport and see something more from BG.
